And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.- Acts 22:16, KJV Bible
Why are you tarrying? Why are you tarrying with Jesus? You would not tarry for a doctor’s appointment or a football game. So why do you tarry when it comes to the Lord?
The devil makes life seem endless. You wake up every day and go on your daily life doing whatever you like and forgetting God. But without God you would not be able to wake up and go about your day. The devil makes it seem like you have all the time in the world to wait to accept Jesus Christ, but that is not true. Tomorrow is never promised and it is the devil’s desire to catch you, snatch you, kill you in your moments of sin. The devil cannot go to heaven, he lost his opportunity. Do not let him take yours.
You have a choice. God gives us choices every day. He places in front of you something that concerns Jesus in hope that you will take a minute of your time to just listen. Put aside your worldly things and pick up a Bible and read it. Study the Word of God for it is our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. Earth cannot stay evil like this for too long. Jesus is coming back whether you want him to or not. You have a choice to ignore his calling for your soul, but you must be able to accept that once he returns, you will not be with him in eternal life.
Our lives matter to God. He would not have given us his Word if he did not. Why tarry when it comes to the Lord? Repent, accept Jesus, Follow him and his examples in the Bible, be baptized- emerged into the water, and when you’ve taken hold onto this new life with great promises, teach others. Go and teach others in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Why do you tarry? God never tarries when it comes to his people. You ask him and he will respond. It may not be how you want it or the way you want it, but he answers. It’s up to you to acknowledge him fully for his blessings on your life. Thank God for his mercies and love and his holy Word. Thank God for giving us the gift of repentance to seek forgiveness so Jesus could wash those sins away.
If you want to give your life to God, please do it now. Time is winding down. Evil is forever present and is growing in the hearts of our young people. We must take the time to pray and seek repentance, because that is the only way we will be cleansed from our sins. There is a reward at the end of this spiritual journey in Christ. To live eternally in heaven and in the New Jerusalem. There will be no more evil, no more sin, no more deaths, no more sorrow, no more pain. Just have faith, stay strong, and believe.
–Revelation 21:4 (KJV)- And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Don’t tarry any longer. Let this be your day. This journey is a hard one, but the reward and the destination will be grand.
-Remember Jesus – because he does love you.
